Healthy Steps Pediatrics was proud to once again support the annual Food Fight cooking competition for a cause, held on March 25, 2017 at Radley Run Country Club. The event was a huge success, having sold out in just over a week and gaining the support of over 30 local sponsors. Healthy Steps was a Tasting Sponsor and is proud to support the mission of Team CMMD, which offers financial assistance to families struggling to make ends meet following a cancer diagnosis.
Team CMMD was founded by the wife of Healthy Steps' own Dr. Christopher Meyer. When his wife, Christine Meyer, MD ("CMMD") had had enough of cancer in her own medical practice, she rallied a small team of runners and fundraisers to make a difference. That band of original supporters has grown to over 1,300 to date, and has donated over $1 Million to the American Cancer Society and over $100,000 in 2015 to local cancer families. Healthy Steps has annually supported the team's events, including funding a summer running camp for kids ages 6-12, called "Team CMMD In Training."
