Dr. Jessy John

Jessy John, MD

Dr. John has been practicing in Chester County for over 15 years. She earned her Medical Degree from  the Medical College of Trivandrum in India. She completed her 3 year pediatric residency program at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has a special  interest in the management of seasonal allergies and asthma. 

 

Dr. John and her husband are raising their two boys in Downingtown.   Her hobbies include cooking and music and they both enjoy watching their boys play baseball. Her favorite baseball team is the Philadelphia Phillies.

Dr. Constantine Serkes

Constantine Serkes, MD

Dr. Serkes has been practicing pediatrics in Chester County since 1990. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester where he earned his B. S. in Biochemistry. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at New Brunswick in 1987. He then completed a three-year residency in Pediatrics at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. 

 

He has a special interest in treating Attention Deficit Disorder, bedwetting in school-age children and Celiac disease. Dr. Serkes and his wife are raising their three boys in Chester Springs, PA. (Dr. Serkes' favorite baseball team is the New York Mets; he is required to pay an additional stipend to remain here in Downingtown.)

Dr. Christopher Meyer

Christopher J. Meyer, MD

Dr. Meyer has been practicing pediatrics in Chester County since 2000. He received his undergraduate degree from Grove City College. After college, he earned his Medical Degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed a three-year residency in Pediatrics at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.  He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

 

Dr. Meyer thoroughly enjoys running with his portuguese water dog, Lucy; woodworking, basketball, and hiking; and most of all, spending time with his wife and three wonderful children, Maria, Sam and Hadley.

Sarah Wood, CRNP

Meet Sarah Wood, our newest provider at Healthy Steps Pediatrics! With over a decade of experience as a pediatric nurse, Sarah has nurtured young patients in diverse healthcare settings. She earned her BSN from Drexel University in 2013 and later completed her MSN at La Salle University in 2023 before joining our team in March 2024.

Outside of work, Sarah calls Delaware County home, where she enjoys life with her husband, Jeff, and their lively twins, Theo and Cece. Her free time is filled with exploring new places, sampling local cuisine, and playing with her labradoodle, Sugar.

Monica Perme, CRNP

The newest member of our team, Monica has been a nurse since receiving her BSN from the University of Minnesota in 1985. After serving in the USAF and working in a multitude of settings, she returned to school and obtained a MSN from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner since 2011 and began with Healthy Steps Pediatrics in November 2020.

 

Monica lives in Downingtown near her 3 grown children. When not at work, she is likely hiking, gardening, refinishing wood, or playing the mandolin.
